A dinner cruise is two things at once, a meal and a sightseeing cruise, and the trick is knowing which one you are paying for. On the big glass-roofed boats the river is the show and the food is a competent set menu. On the small and premium boats the cooking is the point, and the price follows.

Official prices start under €100 for a three-course formula and run to €530 for Ducasse sur Seine’s six-course menu with Champagne and wine. Below are the official menus and dress codes for each operator, every dinner cruise we could verify on Viator compared side by side, and how to choose between the early and the late seating.

Bateaux Parisiens holds its rating most consistently across the sites we could verify (spread 0.20).

The widest gap is Eiffel Croisières: 4.60 on Google versus 3.50 on Tripadvisor (spread 1.10).

Checked October 20, 2026. Tripadvisor and Google figures are the operator’s own listings, which pool reviews of all its tours, so they measure the company rather than this exact product. Spread is the highest minus the lowest rating shown.

N° 05Quelle heure

Early or late seating?

Most operators run two dinners a night, and they are not the same product at different times. The early seating is shorter, cheaper, and usually a lighter menu. Bateaux Mouches’ 6pm early bird lasts an hour and a quarter, and the Bateaux Parisiens 6:15pm cruise is back at 7:30pm. The late seating, usually 8:30pm, is the full dinner of two hours or more.

The season decides which to book:

  • November to January: the sun sets before 5:30pm (around 4:56pm in mid-December), so even the early seating is a night cruise past the lit monuments. Take it, and keep your evening free.
  • May to August: sunset comes around or after 9pm (around 9:58pm in mid-June), so a 6pm dinner is in full daylight and the first half of an 8:30pm dinner is too. Book the late seating if the illuminations are the point.
  • April and September: the 8:30pm dinner catches dusk and the first hours of darkness, the best of both.

Night owls have options too: Paris en Scène sails a second dinner at 9:45pm, and Le Diamant Bleu runs a 10pm late service. A two-hour late dinner is on the water for at least one of the Eiffel Tower’s hourly sparkles.

N° 06Inclus ou pas

What the price actually includes

Drinks

This is where dinner cruises differ most. Bateaux Parisiens includes an aperitif (a sparkling kir or Champagne, depending on the level), a bottle of wine per four guests, water and coffee. Bateaux Mouches includes an aperitif and a glass of wine on the entry menu, and a half-bottle on the higher ones. Le Diamant Bleu, its Italian sister boat Theo, and Eiffel Croisières charge separately for alcohol, and Paris en Scène includes wine only with its Wine Formula. A cheap headline price with no drinks can end up costing more.

Window tables

On the big boats a window table is a paid upgrade. Bateaux Parisiens guarantees one only at its Privilège or Window Service Premier levels, and Bateaux Mouches gives window priority on its top Excellence menu. Ducasse sur Seine guarantees a window table for everyone.

Music

Bateaux Parisiens has a live singer, Bateaux Mouches two musicians, and Le Diamant Bleu a singer followed by a DJ on most nights. If you would rather talk, Capitaine Fracasse and the Theo boat list no live music.

Food

The big boats serve three- or four-course set menus with a vegetarian choice. Theo is Italian (pizzetta, homemade pasta and tiramisu), and Ducasse sur Seine serves four or five courses from its chef, Pierre Marty. Vegan and gluten-free requests are possible on several boats if you ask when you book.

N° 07Deux options

The splurge, and the smart lunch

Ducasse sur Seine

Alain Ducasse’s silent electric boat leaves Port Debilly, near the Trocadéro, at 8:30pm sharp. It is the one cruise where the food is the reason to go, and every table is at a window. Be clear on two things before you book this listing: drinks are extra, and it is non-refundable. Its reviews are more mixed than the price would suggest.

The lunch cruise

The Bateaux Parisiens lunch cruise is the best-reviewed dining cruise in our comparison. It leaves the Eiffel Tower dock at 12:45pm with three or four courses, an aperitif and wine, costs less than dinner, and has better light for photos. You trade the illuminations for that. Bateaux Mouches also runs a weekend lunch, officially €90 for adults.

Most cruises compared here have free cancellation. Ducasse sur Seine is non-refundable, and so are the Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve cruises we compare.

Bringing children

Bateaux Mouches charges €45 for children aged 4 to 12 on its early-bird and lunch cruises. The Theo boat does not allow strollers or infants on board.

Questions travelers ask

How much is a Seine dinner cruise?

Official prices start under €100: the Bateaux Mouches 6pm early bird is €90, and Capitaine Fracasse starts at €75 without drinks. They rise to €530 for Ducasse sur Seine’s six-course menu with Champagne and wine. The classic 8:30pm dinners with Bateaux Parisiens and Bateaux Mouches start at about €99 to €115 per person.

Which Seine dinner cruise is best?

For the classic experience, take the Bateaux Parisiens 8:30pm dinner from the Eiffel Tower dock. For food, Ducasse sur Seine; for value, Capitaine Fracasse; and for a party with music and dancing, Le Diamant Bleu. If you want the best-reviewed option and do not need the illuminations, take the Bateaux Parisiens lunch cruise.

Is there a dress code on Seine dinner cruises?

On some boats. Bateaux Parisiens asks for formal dress on its 8:30pm cruise (no jeans, trainers, shorts or caps), and Bateaux Mouches asks for smart dress, formal on its top two menus, and can refuse boarding in shorts, sandals or tank tops. The other operators publish no dress code, but smart casual is the safe choice.

How long is a Seine dinner cruise?

Late seatings usually last two to two and a half hours: Bateaux Mouches is 2h15 and Bateaux Parisiens returns at 11pm. Early seatings are shorter, about 1h15 on Bateaux Mouches. Paris en Scène’s cruises last 1h45.

Can I get a window table on a dinner cruise?

On the big boats, usually only by paying for a higher level: Privilège or Window Service Premier on Bateaux Parisiens, or Excellence (priority) on Bateaux Mouches. Ducasse sur Seine guarantees a window table, and several other boats sell it as a paid option.

Are drinks included on Seine dinner cruises?

It varies. Bateaux Parisiens and Bateaux Mouches include an aperitif and wine. Le Diamant Bleu, Theo and Eiffel Croisières charge separately for alcohol, Ducasse sur Seine (on our listing) charges for all drinks, and Paris en Scène includes wine only with its Wine Formula.

Is a lunch cruise a good alternative to dinner?

Yes, if you care more about the view than the lights. The Bateaux Parisiens lunch cruise is the best-reviewed dining cruise we compared. It is cheaper than dinner and has better light for photos.
